We have another rabbit called Harrison who was 'married' to Audrey so I went and checked on him. He seems pretty lost without his wife.
Later in the day, I went to the first rehearsal for the opera I'm doing- Midsummer Night's Dream by Benjamin Britten- and we watched the DVD and talked about how our production would be different to the original. It sounds really good and the director, Cecil, seemed really passionate and excited about the whole thing. I'm only playing a fairy and am in a bunch of chorus bits but I'm still so hyped about it!
Just to add to the mix of emotions, it was Yom Kippur today, a Jewish festival, and as I come from a Jewish family, I had to go to a family dinner. It was a great evening but I felt so tired out from the morning's weeping that I was a bit rubbish to be around.
We're burying Audrey tomorrow. Not sure how I feel about burying her in the garden. What if foxes dig her up?
Anyway, sorry this is such a sad blog but it really reflects how I feel- shabby and melancholy.
Happy Yom Kippur to everyone else who's not mourning their pets...
