Performing at the Royal Albert Hall was a great experience, and the atmosphere was incredible! St.Paul's was equally enjoyable - I was really proud of the Chamber choir, singing 'I Was Glad' by Hubert Parry, and blasting those dramatic high notes.
I used to hate singing in choirs (not kidding, I couldn't stand it), but I'm actually starting to really like it!
Although solo performances are a little more thrilling, I'm aware that it's obnoxious to want to be the centre of attention all the time - and it's really nice to work together with other talented singers, and there's a nice sense of community when you work hard together for a performance, which you don't get when you're a solo performer.
So here's my best attempt at a moral lesson from my recent choral experiences: teamwork can be just as fun and rewarding as taking the stage for yourself. Now isn't that a beautiful message?
