Heart beating, legs aching, sweat dripping down my face, I walked on.
Carrying a 10 kilo bag on my back, I walked on.
Out of breath, and with my pulse ba-ba-booming in my ears, I walked on.
One thing was keeping me going at that moment. The thought of my reward- for all the hell I'd gone through. What would it be? A certificate? A trophy? A gold plate?
Well, yesterday I found out.
The reward for all my agonising work at Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award has been... a badge. A teeny tiny badge.
Well, actually, it was sort of fun. I'm just venting because I got a pistachio sized badge after six solid months of effort!
Anyway, Comment Question of the Day: What's the most rewarding project you've ever been a part of?
Mine would probably be... volunteering at St. Joseph's Pastoral Centre because it's always rewarding to do community work like that!
Oh and feel free to check out my latest story- it's a thriller and I worked really hard on it. So click the link below for that!
