I avoided all of my biggest performance fears, which was a relief.
I thought I would forget my lyrics, but I didn't!
I thought the little stage-podium would collapse because we'd all been watching it creak as people stood on it all evening but in the end, I wasn't the one who broke it. A woman right at the end of the concert stomped for emphasis whilst singing and it made a huge CRRAACKK! She was fine, but the whole audience nearly had heart attacks, thinking she was going to fall over.
My only other major fear was that people wouldn't laugh at my song. It's meant to be really funny and sarcastic- luckily people got that, and I got a big round of applause at the end!
But most importantly, we raised lots of money for The Charlie Waller Memorial Trust, and had a great time!
