I went to a New Year's Eve party.
And what did I find? That all these stereotypes...well, I hate to say it but they're spot on.
Thing is, you would only see it as being disgusting and outrageous if you weren't invited, and most proper adults (i.e. people who drink red wine and talk about 'those bloody taxes') don't go to house parties like this.
Now, I am not encouraging drug use or alchohol. But teenagers do smoke and drink at parties, something which I think -realistically- we have to accept.
My main concern about drugs in particular is not the health effects, it's that to obtain drugs young people have to spend time with dodgy dealers in dark locations, in secret. Vulnerable teenagers meeting criminals in alleyways without telling anyone- that's clearly a situation best avoided.
Which is why I am pro-legalisation of the less dangerous drugs like weed. As well as the benefits of the government taxing drugs, these substances would also be regulated, which means they won't be tainted- and therefore less dangerous.
So, what do you think? Comment whether you are pro/anti drug legalisation below, and feel free to start a roaring argument about it!
