And yes, I love it. Of course I do. It is a thing of beauty- with its caramel-coloured outer later, and its soft, smooth interior, its thick warm rolls of fur lapping over my torso, enveloping me with its gentle caress...
But luxury does not come without its difficulties.
For example, when and where do you wear it out?
There's a lot of hatred for fur at the moment. Fake fur is fine, and last year it was incredibly popular as a sort of ironic trend in places like Topshop or River Island- but wear real fur, and you may have crossed a line.
Frankly, I'm more than a little scared that if I wear it out, I'll get dirty looks, be bombarded with verbal abuse ("MINK MURDERER!", they'll scream at me, through gritted teeth) or even have paint thrown at me by crazy animal rights protesters.
I'm really interested to hear what you guys all think about this issue. In today's society of veganism, global warming mania, and ecofriendly living, is it really still acceptable to wear fur coats? Or is it old-fashioned and appalling- the fashion equivalent of knifing a polar bear to death in front of a crowd of young children?
(If so, I might have to just wear it around the house. I could do the chores in it, I guess- yellow washing up gloves, a mop, and a fur coat. Now that's glamorous!)
Tell me what you think in the comments, below. I'm always interested to hear what my NAAB NUTTERS think!
