Well, as the Queen of Doing Nothing All Day, I feel obliged to pass on some of my procrastination wisdom. Pay attention: These are things I do to avoid revision!
STICKING UP UNNECASSARY POSTERS- I’ve been doing this a lot, as I’m currently living in a plain white room, and it makes me feel like I’m doing something productive, even if I’m really not.
EXCERCISING- Shock! Horror! Yolanda Shamash -laziest girl in the world- has been exercising. Yes, I’ve been doing little stints of exercise between revision sessions. For example, today I’ve done 200 sit-ups and 70 of these weird thigh exercises I don’t have a name for, in which you squat and then jump up and down a bit in that squatting position (TRY IT. IT REALLY HURTS, WHICH THE INTERNET TELLS ME MEANS IT’S WORKING!).
INTERNET-ING- Like most teenagers, I’m on facebook, youtube and twitter (@NotAllAboutBoys if you’re interested) so naturally I’ve been wasting plenty of crucial revision time footling on those.
EATING A LOT- Revision is boring. Eating is fun. That’s one reason why I’m eating so much at the moment, but it’s also to counteract the effects of all that damned exercise I’ve been doing.
BLOGGING- Blogging has been a seriously great way of avoiding revision, as it makes me feel productive and also because I write best when I shouldn’t be writing at all, like at 3am on weekdays, or during school. I’m weird like that.
So there you have it, all the things I’ve been doing to avoid revision. Hopefully you've learnt something there. Then again, maybe reading this blog is your form of procrastination!
Either way, comment below what you do to avoid revision/work/whatever it is that you should be doing that you don't want to- and we can all have a little procrastination party down in the comments.
