What I mean by that is, what the hell is the noun form of despise?!?
See, as you can tell, I’m the kind of person who gets really hung up on grammar and would happily spend her life spell-checking graffiti if it weren’t for the fact that I have school and a life. So today, when I found myself saying ‘I have so much despisal for XYZ/MILDY ANNOYING THING IN MY LIFE’ –after instinctively slapping myself in the face for such appalling grammar- I was absolutely horrified, and took the time to contemplate my horrendous mistake.
What was I thinking‽(that, by the way, is an interrobang- a cross between an exclamation and question mark, and a very valid piece of punctuation)
Anyway, if anybody does know what the noun form of despise is, please comment it below!
Comment Question of the Day: What is your pet peeve? I’d have to say mine is bad grammar. What can I say? As the daughter of two journalists, it just hurts me inside to hear people use double negatives.
