Well... I read it. Pretty quickly! And you know why?
Because it's a damn good read.
They say a good book is like a good date- funny, gritty, relatable and charming- and if those are the requirements for a good book, 'Twelve Hours' can certainly be counted as a great book!
All of these things and more, it genuinely had me laughing out loud within the first minute, and in tears by the end.
I can't recommend it enough.
Fortunately for me, I managed to get in touch with the author, and we had a chat over skype!

The story stars a dying dog, a rich lawyer beside himself with guilt, a supermarket checkout girl in love with her regional manager, and a nasty old woman who owns the dog. And a magic bus seat.
I actually wanted to write it because I saw a dog being treated really meanly on a bus, and I thought, "why would you own a dog in order to be mean to it?!". That really got my imagination going! This wild plot just came to me- bringing people together for the death of a dog, on a London bus, over twelve hours! And although I knew they would come together for the finale, I didn't know how to begin with- it was a lot of fun to write, because it's so escapist and full of laughter!
What made you decide to publish on Kindle?
Well, the publishing industry loved my novel- everyone always said it was distinctive and charming. But it only takes one buyer, and I didn't get one. I left it for years, but 'Twelve Hours' always remained my favourite novel - nothing I've written has ever been as ambitious.
And actually, having publishers go mad for my novel gave me the self confidence to put it out over Kindle- because self publishing is scary! Actually, today I got my first email from a complete stranger-saying they loved the book, and quoting it and asking when the next one was coming out, which made me very happy indeed!

So when is the next novel coming out?
I'm thinking seriously about self-novel number three now! Maybe before the end of the year! At the moment, though, I'm just enjoying having my book read- and how much people are loving 'Twelve Hours'!
