I know it’s silly but it is ALL I want to do at the moment. I’ve gone through phases of thinking about doing law or psychiatry (both well paid and respected career paths) but I think I’ve settled myself on aspiring to journalism. And boy, do I have ambition.
I want to be Caitlin Moran. Or Charlie Brooker. My two favourite journalists in the whole wide world.
In particular, I really respect Charlie Brooker because he’s only 40 and he’s done so much! He’s had a popular column in the Guardian, serious involvement in television (Screenwipe, Gameswipe, Newswipe, Dead Set, 10 O’Clock Live – to mention just a few of my favourites), he’s had books of his columns published and he’s created a real name for himself as Charlie Brooker- everyone’s favourite psychotic, mentally unstable, but nonetheless lovable, genius. Anyway, I’ll stop fangirl-ing now. It’s just that I can’t help wanting to be him.
I would literally kill for a weekly column like his in a national paper. And in all likelihood, it's so competitive, I would have to!
Comment question of the day (yes, I’m doing that now, I’ve gone all Ray William Johnson on you): What do you want to do when you’re older? You know I only seek your approval! So if you want to make a most-likely failed-journalist-to-be smile, comment with your creative or funny response!
