GCSEs are really starting to take over my life, I've been writing obsessively as for my music, I've hit a road block.
Hitting that highnote.
I'm doing a performance of "The Song That Goes Like This" from Spamalot, in a Christmas concert, and the song ends with a terrifyingly high, high note that I just couldn't reach. Until today! Today, I actually managed to hit the end note!!! (Okay, nobody else cares, but it's an achievement for me!)
Similarly, GCSEs are sort of my 'high note' at the moment- difficult, painful at times, but hopefully worth it.
I'm terrified by the prospect of doing badly, but at the same time so very eager to prove myself and do really well!
With any luck, the combination of fear and hope will lead to some good GCSE results this summer and a glass-shattering performance in December!
I've put the song that I'm doing below (it's meant to be awful, don't worry), so have a look at that, and I'll try and put up a vid of me singing it sometime near Christmas! Wish me luck!
