One is successful, corporate, rich- a lawyer. She’s confident; knows her trade inside and out. Her life is spent hopping between work and evenings out with friends. She’s a city gal- spending her money on shoes and property.
There’s just one thing. She knows that there’s a slightly happier version of herself is out there somewhere.
And she’s right. The ‘other her’ studied English and became a journalist. It took her a while but she forced herself into the news print industry, shoving aside the fierce competition. Eventually, after months of emails to editors, she landed herself a big article in a national newspaper. The article became very popular. She gets more and more jobs in print, until one day, a phone call tells her that she’s done it. She’s got herself a weekly column. That’s the other version. The poor, happy and creative one.
Basically, I have some choices to make.
Wealth versus The Pitiful Existence Of A Journalist?
Ease versus Struggle?
A Settled Lifestyle versus Happiness?
Decisions, decisions... I think I'll get back to you on that.
